Sue was introduced to acupuncture, massage and yoga in 1988, a short course in massage inspired her to complete her Associate Diploma of Massage Therapy in 1991 at The Australian College of Natural Medicine. She then ran her own Remedial Massage Business at Brisbane Hilton’s Executive Health Club for a number of years focusing on sports and deep tissue massage.
Sue took some time off to travel overseas and explore and expand on traditional medicines and cultures. During this time Sue decided to work alongside practitioners of other modalities, following the value of a holistic approach to health care. She took the opportunity to join a multimodality natural therapy clinic in 2000, where she worked as a remedial massage therapist for 11 years alongside naturopaths, herbalists and acupuncturists.
Her interest and passion for an energetic approach to healing lead Sue to study and practice Astanga yoga, Reiki and Australian bush flower essences and she completed her yoga teacher training in Radiant Light Yoga in 2002. She continued working as a massage therapist incorporating reiki, flower essences, yoga and body movement into her treatments.
Sue’s growing interest in acupuncture finally lead her to study at Endeavour College of Natural Health in Brisbane, where she completed her Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture in 2017.
Sue draws on 27 years experience as a practitioner to help people regain and maintain optimal health, people often come to see her to restore balance and well-being after physical, emotional or mental trauma has resulted in imbalances in the body that can present in a number of ways such as insomnia, digestive issues, headaches, musculoskeletal pain or injury.
